CobWebKnits was founded in 2008 by Su and Shaun Cowell.  The company is based in Dorset and specialises in handmade hats and children’s clothing.  All our products are designed by Su, the company’s creative director.  These unique, original and quirky designs were first available in a wide range of fruit, vegetables and flowers.  In 2010 we launched a range of stripy hats with tassels, tails or mop tops and the following year a new range inspired by wildlife that include bunny rabbits, puppies, kittens, monkeys, bugs and even giraffes.  Our clothing range also includes seaside and play-day appliquéd motifs.  CobWebKnits have gone on to produce tea-cosies, egg-cosies and beautiful vintage inspired aprons which make perfect gifts.

As well as being popular with yummy mummies, our unique hats and clothing make popular presents and are bought by grandparents, friends, family and work colleagues.  They make fantastic gifts that prove a talking point at every baby shower.  The stylish packaging is another of our great selling features. All our hats are individually labelled and packaged in pretty, rustic, tissue or straw-filled presentation boxes and if they are being posted directly to someone else as a gift, we are happy to include a gift card with any purchase at no extra cost.  Our tops quickly become firm favourites with older children who have to be prised away from their bright, colourful and imaginative T-shirts when they need a wash.  Su and Shaun have received lots of lovely feedback from happy customers who return to shop with them regularly.

Our handmade hats are either made from cashmere or machine washable yarns and several include leaves made from felt.  All products apart from the cashmere (which should be hand washed) are machine washable at 40°C.  The hats dry quickly and we do not recommend tumble drying.  
We predominantly sell on-line and have begun to supply several boutiques around the country.    We make and dispatch orders quickly ensuring their swift arrival in time for that all important occasion.
